employment and create impact in communities in different African countries. In doing so,
people are able to further shift the needle to help to make a difference.
ShopConsciously is a sister company to Women Enabled Enterprises,
a non-profit that helps African women of color start or grow their
small business for self-sufficiency. We hand select high potential
entrepreneurs from our program and curate seasonal collections
alongside them and their team of women.

HOW WE GOT HERE
This brand is centered around creating the world we wish to see. It is centered on us as consumers, shifting the narrative that our small actions are unable to create a ripple effect of change.
At ShopConsciously, ordinary people are able to empower communities by simply becoming consumers that care about how their products were made and those who are passionate about creating dignified employment for underserved communities in Africa.
We curate a seasonal collection of hand crafted goods that are thoughtfully and mindfully made by women of color in Africa. These incredible entrepreneurial artisans are passionate about their craft and are so bold and courageous to help to create employment for people in their community.

Our Founder
Prior to founding ShopConsciously and Women Enabled Enterprises, I had a 10 year career in retail and e-commerce.
South African born, California living and passionate about helping to lift women out of poverty. As the age-old saying goes, when you empower a woman, you empower a community.
I am the founder of Women Enabled Enterprises, a non-profit that helps women of color in Africa learn business skills that help to grow their businesses, so that they can create gainful employment and sustainability in their community.
ShopConsciously is our Fair Trade Brand, this brand amplifies the work we do and I’m here for that! The women from our program, with great compassion make these hand made products.
